FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of recycled water supply, namely to the structural elements of cooling towers and other apparatus for heat and mass transfer between liquid and gaseous media, in particular, to the elements of the sprinklers and the water separators of the cooling towers. Cooling tower tip unit contains tubular elements from thermoplastic material with latticed wall folded in layers parallel to each other, wherein at ends tubular elements are welded to each other, the tubular elements are formed with a triangular cross-section and between each tubular element a strip of thermoplastic material is welded across the tubular elements along each end thereof, welded to the tubular elements at their contact with the strip, and during the welding process, the end sections of the tubular elements and the strips laid between them are fused and form in the process of melting the monolithic end walls of the block, and cavities of each of tubular elements and inter-tube space is filled with heat-mass exchange additional elements. Additional elements of heat and mass transfer are made in the form of a cylindrical ring, on the side, inner and outer surfaces, which is screw-threaded in opposite directions, or in the form of a ball on the surface of which blind holes of hemispherical shape are made, or in the form of a ring, on the outer surface of which a screw surface is made in the manner of a plate auger, or in the form of at least a three-bladed propeller, or additional elements of heat and mass transfer are made in the form of a cylindrical ring, on the lateral, internal surface of which are fixed partitions in the form perpendicular to the axis of the ring of washers with holes, axes of which are asymmetric to the axis of the ring, or additional elements of heat and mass transfer are made in the form of a block inscribed in a circle consisting of seven interconnected side edges of hexagonal parallelepipeds without upper and lower bases, or additional elements of heat and mass transfer are made in the form of interconnected helical spirals, inscribed in a spherical surface with a center lying on the axis of the connection of the spirals, or additional elements of heat and mass transfer are made in the form of at least twelve connected three-bladed propellers, the projection of which on the plane of the drawing is inscribed in a circle with a center coinciding with the center of one of them.
EFFECT: uniformity of heat and mass transfer and, consequently, an increase in the cooling capacity of the sprinkler.
