FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to exhaust system for particulate matter (PM) processing. The exhaust system (10) vehicle (12) internal combustion engine with positive fuel ignition contains filter (20) to filter particulate matter out of exhaust gas released from engine. The filter contains porous substrate with inlet and outlet surfaces. Inlet surfaces are separated from outlet surfaces by porous structure containing pores of medium pore size. The porous substrate is covered with three-way catalyst coating containing multiple solid particles. Porous structure of covered porous substrate contains pores of the second medium pore size, and in this case the second medium pore size is smaller than the first medium pore size. The three-way catalyst coating is on separate substrate monolith (18) located upstream of the filter. Mass of three-way catalyst coating on upstream substrate monolith is ≤75% of total three-way catalyst coating mass in exhaust system.
EFFECT: effective filtration.
