FIELD: test engineering; transportation.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to technique of fault diagnosis on wheels of railway handling devices. Unit for fault diagnosis with function of parallel jacking is configured to fault diagnosis without stripping operation of wheels and comprises bogie that is slidable along two steel rails between which it is provided. Claimed unit also comprises a jacking device, a device for detecting skid surface defects, the first jacking mechanism, the second jacking mechanism and a skid mounted on said bogie. Jacking device is arranged for jacking wheels with rim holder feeler provided thereon. Device for fault diagnosis in the rolling surface is designed to detect defects in the rolling surfaces of the wheels. First jacking mechanism is configured to drive said jacking device for moving up and down. Second jacking mechanism is configured to drive said skid surface defect detection device for moving up and down.
EFFECT: as a result, the operation of the unit is simplified, the efficiency of fault diagnosis of wheel is increased, the work becomes more stable and safe.
