FIELD: non-destructing testing of materials; railroad safety testing.
SUBSTANCE: Method of non-destructing testing or registering results of measurements made for disc-shaped or ring-shaped objects 11, in particular, wheel bandages or wheels of railroad rolling stock, at which method of testing the tested object 11 is placed onto support rollers 34, 34 disposed at some distance one from the other. Any roller is mounted onto bearing 31, 32 for rotation. Tested object is retained in position of testing by means of support roller 36 which is disposed at some distance from support rollers 33, 34. Rotating unit 51 is turned around axis of rotation 56. Travel roller 58, 59, placed onto rotating unit 51, is shifted till it touches tested surface of tested object 11. At least one detector, placed onto rotating unit 51 is mounted into position of testing; moreover at least one detector is shifted along tested part. Device for non-destructing inspection and registration of results of measurements of disc-shaped and ring-shaped tested objects, particularly, of wheels and wheel bandages for railroad rolling stock has main frame 27, first and second bearings 31, 32 for fixing to have free rotation, at least one support roller 33, 34 for mounting tested object. The device has at its main frame 27 cantilever 39 for fixing support roller 36 for additional positioning of tested object in position of testing. There is rotating unit 51 in the device, which unit serves as support for at least one travel roller 58, 59. When at least one travel roller 58, 59 touches the object, at least one detector is provided at rotating unit 51 at position of testing.
EFFECT: high degree of automation; shortened preparation-finishing period.
