FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems and methods for operating linear electric motors and determining the moment when the linear motor reaches the end stop at the end of the working stroke and the return stroke. In one embodiment, the electric drive controller of the submersible pump system monitors position signals received from the linear motor of the system, determines the difference in pulse time, counts the pulses from the start of the stroke, the actual duration of the stroke and the associated parameters. When the pre-defined conditions are met, associated with these parameters, the controller determines when the linear motor reaches the end of its stroke. Controller changes the order of the phases of the output voltage and, thus changing the direction of movement of the drive element.
EFFECT: reliable and correct determination of the position of the drive element in the linear motor and precise control is provided.
