SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and systems for operation of fuel feed pump of fuel system of engine. In one example, the method may include a step of predicting when pressure in the fuel rail falls below the threshold, based on the fact that the fuel sub-pump remains off. Method may also include switching on fuel feed pump supply before pressure in fuel ramp falls below said threshold to avoid pressure drop in fuel rail below said threshold.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of pressure drop in fuel rail, higher fuel economy.
