FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the cold processing of metals by pressure and can be used in the manufacture of ball-shaped studs with a hollow head. After cutting the workpiece on the first transition, a preliminary set of the head is produced with the reduction of the rod and the formation of the cone. At the second transition, the back extrusion of the cavity of the head is carried out, simultaneously with it at the transition from the cone to the rod, an angle of 30–60° is reduced and a chamfer at the end of the workpiece is formed. In this case, at the first transition the reduction of the rod is conducted to obtain its length, which is 3–5 mm shorter than the length of the rod of the workpiece of the second transition. Then, the final stamping of the spherical hollow head is carried out, ensuring axial flow of the bar metal with a chamfer when the contact friction of the workpiece changes from the matrix without the end of the rod.
EFFECT: as the result, the durability and the quality of the finished parts of the tool is improved.
