FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of laser butt welding of at least one preform of a manganese boron steel quenched under pressure. Workpiece (1, 2) has a thickness of 0.5 to 1.8 mm and / or a thickness difference (d) in the joint (3) of 0.2 to 0.4 mm. Laser welding is carried out by feeding the additional wire (10) into the melt (8) produced by at least one laser beam (6). In order to ensure a reliable solidification of the weld during hot press processing (press hardening), the additional wire (10) comprises at least one alloying element containing a group of manganese, chromium, molybdenum, silicon and / or nickel, providing the formation of austenite in the melt (8) obtained by means of a laser beam (6). Said one alloying element is contained in additional wire (10), at least with a greater by 0.1 % by weight of the weight fraction than in the steel-hardened steel pre-press (1, 2). Workpiece (1, 2; 1, 2') is not coated or has a partially removed coating.
EFFECT: ensuring reliable solidification of the welded seam.
