FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and namely to the method of producing pre-coated sheet steel, a method for manufacturing a welded workpiece, and a steel part hardened under pressure. The method for the production of pre-coated sheet steel(1) includes the following sequential steps: production of a pre-coated steel strip (2) comprising a steel substrate (3) having a pre-coated on at least one of its main face surfaces (5 ); laser cut pre-coated steel strip (2). Laser cutting is carried out to ensure that a zone (20) of the surface of the cut edge (13), characterized by a reduced amount of aluminum, is obtained, extending over the entire height (h) of the surface of the cut edge (13) and along a length that is less or equal in comparison with the length of the surface of the cut edge ( 13). The proportion of the aluminum surface in the substrate (14) of the zone (20) of the surface of the cut edge (13), which is the result of the laser cutting operation, is 0.3-6%. Laser cutting is carried out at a pressure of inert gas as an auxiliary gas of 2-18 bar together with linear laser energy of 0.6 kJ/cm or more. Parts manufactured using pre-coated aluminum coated welded sheet steel have satisfactory mechanical properties.
