FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering and laser measuring equipment and is intended for use in nuclear power reactors of RBMK and VVER type for the rapid measurement of the physical characteristics of the coolant, in particular, the measurement of the vapor content in the coolant in the core of nuclear reactors with a water coolant. Laser measuring system contains optical sensors, located in the coolant pipeline and in the core of the nuclear reactor, connected by fiber-optic lines with measuring equipment, taken to a safe zone for a distance of 1,000 meters from the nuclear reactor. Optical equipment of the laser measuring system contains laser generators, photodetector units, fiber optic lines, controlled optical filters and an analogue model of a nuclear reactor, that provides continuous in-situ modeling of the optical characteristics of the coolant of a controlled nuclear reactor.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the accuracy of measuring the vapor content in the coolant of the nuclear power reactor at various points in the coolant circuit and in the core of the nuclear reactor, an increase in the reliability and credibility, of the results obtained for measuring the coolant parameters.
