FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding and concerns paddles for rowing on canoes. Paddle for canoeing contains a blade and a spindle with a handle in the upper part. Spindle is executed with a bend, and its lower part is displaced horizontally relative to the geometric center of the blade area. Bending of the spindle is made due to the slope of its upper part towards the displacement of the lower part. Upper part of the spindle and the blade are located in the same vertical plane.
EFFECT: increase in rowing efficiency is achieved due to the ergonomic design of the paddle providing a more comfortable position of the athlete's body during the stroke.
