SUBSTANCE: using to identify and determine the platinum coins, tokens and medals of the Russian Empire authenticity manufactured in the period from 1826 to 1845. Summary of the invention is that the platinum coins, tokens and medals of the Russian Empire manufactured in the period from 1826 to 1845 authenticity identification and verification device, includes at least one radiation source and at least one radiation receiver with the information analysis and processing unit, at that, the radiation source and the radiation receiver operate in the emission spectrum range, which long-wavelength boundary falls at the shorter-wave radiation, namely the X-ray and gamma-ray emission spectra.

EFFECT: enabling an opportunity to analyze not only the authenticity external signs found in the infrared, visible and ultraviolet radiation spectrum, but also the internal structure, namely the detection of a specific "tubular" structure of platinum, characteristic for the platinum obtaining method from 1826 to 1845, as well as developing defects during the platinum aging, namely, release of impurities at the boundaries of inhomogeneities within the material under investigation, which allows to draw conclusions about the investigated articles authenticity with a high degree of reliability.
