FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for batch crystallization for the production of crystals, preferably ammonium perchlorate. Device comprises crystallizer 1 consisting of a metal cylindrical vessel whose inner surface consists of a material with a hardness of at least 120 HB, preferably at least 200 HB, the cylindrical vessel has oval or circular cross-section with conical or concave bottom 12, equipped along its length with double jacket 4 for cooling the solution and/or suspension of solution and crystals and high-speed agitator 8 of a material with a hardness of at least 120 HB, preferably at least 200 HB, high-speed mixing device 8 is equipped with drive 9 for controlling the speed and, therefore, the degree of effect of the mechanical action of the stirring device on the roundness of the crystals inside the vessel along with the inner surface of the vessel, comprising at least two baffles 5 of material with a hardness of at least 120 HB, preferably at least 200 HB, wherein vessel is provided with at least one opening 10 from above, connected to at least one independent branch of circulation circuit 11 from the outside for introducing a heated solution and/or a heated suspension of solution and crystals with at least one circulation pump 2 through at least one heat exchanger 3 to provide, together with double jacket 4, adjustable periodic temperature changes of the crystal suspension near cooling curve, connecting line 13 being connected to bottom 12 of the vessel of crystallizer 1 and to at least one branch of circulation circuit 11.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain crystals of a spherical shape of high quality (of sufficient purity) of medium size (100–300 mcm) in a simple crystallizer.
