FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and refers to a thermal insulating paint used to produce coatings of equipment, in particular pipelines, metal, concrete, reinforced concrete, brick, wooden and other building structures of residential, public and industrial buildings and structures. Thermal insulating paint composition includes components at the following ratio, vol%: styrene copolymer and acrylic esters aqueous dispersion 8.0 to 10.0, "Akremos 101" aqueous acrylic dispersion 3.0–4.3, hollow glass microspheres with a diameter of 20–200 microns 77–82, ammonium polyphosphate 2.3–3.5, aluminum hydroxide 0.4–0.7, zinc borate 0.8–1.0, colloidal silicon dioxide 1.1 to 1.8, decabromodiphenyl oxide 0.8–0.9, ethylene glycol 1.1–1.4, coloring pigments 0.0–0.2.
EFFECT: enabling of heat-insulating coatings with anti-corrosion, antiseptic, heat-resistant properties, belonging to the group of inflame-resistant building materials with a moderate smoke-forming ability and characterized by increased adhesion strength to the substrate, high alkali resistance and UV resistance, high elasticity.
