SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, mainly to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used in the diagnosis of laryngomalacia in children. Conduct an ultrasound scan of the larynx in B-mode in the transverse plane, lying on the back and slightly tilting the head back. Mobility of the arytenoid cartilages of the larynx is assessed with quiet breathing. During the inspiration, when the arytenoid cartilages are diverged in the sides, the norm was established. During inspiration, when the arytenoid cartilages approach each other and are displaced anteriorly into the laryngeal lumen, laryngomalacia is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides a reduction in traumatism and simplification of the diagnosis of laryngomalacia in children due to visualization of the mobility of the arytenoid cartilages of the larynx.
