FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to interventional cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. Determine the transpulmonary gradient (TPG) with the occlusion of the balloon fenestration of a flotation catheter for 10 minutes. In this case, TPG is defined as the difference between the mean pressure in the conduit of the total cavopulmonary compound, measured through the proximal port of the catheter, and the pressure in the general atrium, which is determined in the phase of late systole at the level of the base of the systolic atrial wave v wave corresponding to the T wave on the electrocardiogram. With TPG more than 10 mm of mercury after the flotation catheter is occluded by balloon, it is impossible to close the fenestration.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce the number of postoperative complications in patients with a functionally single ventricle of the heart after the operation of the total cavopulmonary communication and improvement of the results of interventional interventions.
