FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine and medical equipment, namely to cardiosurgery. Conduit is formed from a portion of a valve-containing bovine jugular vein (BJV). Then, an external support means is fixed on the conduit in the form of a mesh metal stent having the possibility of radial expansion by 2–4 mm and preservation of the expanded shape. Ends of the stent are rolled at angle of 45±5°. Stent is attached to the conduit by two rows of fixing sutures, which are laid on the cells of the mesh cells at distance of 35–40 mm from each edge of the conduit in the areas of tight adherence of the conduit to the stent cells. Method of treating congenital heart diseases by prosthetics of the pulmonary artery is accompanied by the artificial blood circulation, the pulmonary artery and the right ventricular outlet, and the stent-conduit is implanted into the position of the pulmonary artery. Proximal portion of the stent-conduit is connected to the outlet right ventricle by a continuous blanket suture. Connection of distal part of stent-conduit with pulmonary arteries is performed by means of continuous blanket suture. Radial expansion of stent-conduit by 2–4 mm is performed by means of an inflatable balloon, which is introduced along the conductor into the lumen of the stent-conduit in terms determined by age and hemodynamic parameters of the patient.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables reducing the risk of repeated surgical interventions in a group of infants by replacing biological conduit with patient's growth, as well as reducing the number of possible postoperative complications in repeated interventions, reducing the length of stay in the clinic.
