SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to brewing industry and biotechnology. To obtain beer having an alcohol content of not more than 1.0 vol. %, preferably not more than 0.7 vol. %, comprising esters and higher alcohol defining a flavouring profile close to a lager beer, comprising 7.00–30.00 ppm ethyl acetate and 0.01–0.20 ppm ethyl butyrate, the method is implemented as follows. Malt based beverage having an alcohol content of not more than 1.0 vol. %, preferably not more than 0.7 vol. %, is prepared by fermenting a malt suspension. Content of ethyl acetate and ethyl butyrate in the beverage is measured. Ethyl acetate until a content comprised 7.00–30.00 ppm, and ethyl butyrate until a content comprised 0.01–0.20 ppm are added to or extracted from said beverage.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides a product having a character and flavor and a general organoleptic character close to regular lager beer.
