FIELD: examination of documents.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods for recognizing the payment documents, at which the image of the payment document is received on the client device, the mentioned image is transmitted from the client device via the integrated network to the remote server, and can be used for automatic recognition of any types of payment documents. According to the invention, the base of payment types, the database of open payment requisites and the database of successfully recognized payment documents are preliminarily formed; the payment data are extracted from the received payment document, these data are sufficient for the automatic conduct of the payment transaction on the specified payment document, after retrieving the data, the payment type is checked against the payment type database, to which a certain identical set of payment requisites corresponds, according to the specified type; the conformity of the formats of the received data and the adequacy of the data for the automatic conduct of the payment transaction on the specified payment order are checked, if the data is insufficient, then the presence in the available database of open payment details of the missing payment details or the presence of missing payment details in the available database of successfully recognized payment documents are checked, the correctness of payment details according to the rules of compilation of requisites and check digits are verified.
EFFECT: claimed invention is aimed at increasing the probability and reliability of recognition of various payment documents.
