FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to ligatures intended for alloying titanium-based alloys. Ligature for melting titanium alloys, contains, wt%: vanadium 45–60; iron 6–10; carbon 2.5–3.5; aluminum and inevitable impurities – the balance.
EFFECT: ligature is characterised by low oxygen content, as well as low mechanical strength of the ligature, which facilitates the process of its crushing and cleaning from slag.
