FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: usage: determining the concentration of agglomerates of nonspherical nanosized particles in liquid media. Summary of the invention is that a measuring cell is used in the form of an annular channel of variable cross-section to create an accelerated flow comprising a laminar flow stimulator and an acoustic meter installed in the region of narrowing of the annular channel, with the help of which in the initial sample of a liquid medium, acoustic ultrasonic attenuation spectra are measured for isotropic orientation of nonspherical nanoscale particles in a stationary liquid medium and when the particles are oriented along the flow of a liquid medium, then the initial sample is purified from agglomerates and in a purified sample of a liquid medium, acoustic ultrasonic attenuation spectra are measured with isotropic orientation of nonspherical nanoscale particles in a stationary liquid medium and when the particles are oriented along the liquid medium flow, then the concentration of agglomerates of nonspherical nanoscale particles is calculated from the measured spectra.
EFFECT: technical result: providing the possibility of measuring the concentration of nonspherical nanoparticle agglomerates in dispersions by measuring the attenuation of ultrasound on nanoparticles oriented and non-oriented in the flow of a liquid medium.
