FIELD: lighting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a control system for one or more lighting devices depending on the detected residence within a room, corridor or other internal or external space. Result is achieved in that the signal processing unit comprises a recognition logic for recognizing the presence of a creature or object in space using the echoes of said signal, reflected from the creature or object, with echo signals being received with the appropriate frequency band. Signal processing unit further comprises a control logic for detecting a distortion that may adversely affect said recognition, wherein the control logic is configured to detect said distortion by listening to a parasitic signal in the spectral region outside the frequency band of the echoes and adapt the recognition depending on the detected distortion.

EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the reliability of determining the presence of a creature or object in space.
