SUBSTANCE: invention relates to noise suppression. Muffler contains the cylindrical body, which is rigidly connected to the end inlet and outlet nozzles, and the baffles, and in the body, perpendicular to the direction of the aerodynamic flow, at least two discs with openings forming the chambers are installed, wherein the orifices of the discs are alternately displaced relative to the axis of the housing in such a way, that the holes in the two adjacent discs do not coincide, where the body is made of structural materials with the layer of soft vibration damping material, which is applied onto its surface from one or two sides, in the chambers there are sound-absorbing annular elements, each of the elements is made in the form of a rigid and perforated walls, between which there are the following two layers: sound-reflecting layer adjoining rigid wall, and sound-absorbing layer, which adjoins the perforated wall, wherein the sound reflecting material layer is made from a complex profile consisting of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons, allowing to reflect sound waves incident in all directions, and mineral wool on a basalt basis of the Rockwool type, or mineral wool of the URSA type, or basalt wool of the P-75 type, or glass wool with the glass-wool lining, or the foamed polymer, are used as the sound absorbing material, at that, the fibrous sound absorbers surface is treated with air permeable porous paints, or is covered with air permeable fabrics or non-woven materials.

EFFECT: technical result is increased efficiency of noise suppression.
