FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for obtaining soft X-ray radiation. Invention involves the impulse supply of a working gas, which is neon; formation of plasma flows of working gas by ionization of working gas streams; acceleration of plasma flows of working gas; counter-collision of plasma flows of working gas in a longitudinal magnetic field inside a vacuum liner. Technical result is the production of powerful line radiation with a wavelength of up to 1.3 nm with the efficiency of converting the energy of the plasma flow into radiation energy of not less than 50 %.
EFFECT: technical result is the production of powerful line radiation.
