FIELD: plasma and nuclear technologies. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for filling up magnetic traps of thermonuclear reactors with fuel or plasma, for preliminary ionization of gas in them, for ignition of main discharge and for filling up various plasma installations with plasma. Process of generation of plasma flux includes impact of physical factor on gas-carrying solid matter, leak-in of gas produced from mentioned matter into region of formation of plasma, ionization of gas by electric discharge between coaxial electrodes and acceleration of formed plasma by Lorentz force with interaction of azimuthal magnetic field and radial current of electric discharge. Impact of physical factor on gas-carrying matter is realized in the form of granules and leak-in of gas produced from mentioned matter into region of formation of plasma is carried out through gas-penetrable partition. Gear for generation of plasma flux includes two coaxial accelerating electrodes connected to pulse capacitive energy storage and separated by dielectric insert, additional coaxial electrode and unit for gas leak-in. Unit for gas leak-in in gear comes in the form of granules of gas-carrying matter put between gas-penetrable partition and additional coaxial electrode placed in circuit of additional capacitive energy storage. Technical result of process of generation of plasma flux and of use of gear for realization of process consists in formation of dense gas cloud (≥1021l/m3) in working region of gear, in effective ionization of this dense gas cloud, in acceleration of formed dense plasma cluster and in generation of plasma flux with dense plasmoid traveling at speed of 10 km/s and more.
