FIELD: plasma technology; nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed induction plasma injector has vacuum chamber made of insulating material that communicates with working gas supply and power coil disposed on outer surface of chamber and provided with excess-voltage eliminator for connection to power supply to produce magnetic field at moment of connection which is damping from center along chamber axis. Novelty is introduction of auxiliary coil into injector to set up guarding magnetic field of multipole type damping on radius to chamber center.
EFFECT: avoiding ingress of erosion products and dielectric chamber surface impurities into plasma.
