FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: active stabiliser of pitching and rolling ship's motion - stormy emergency propeller has two controlled wings and two rotary head pieces on screw propellers installed on horizontal or inclined spindles in aft part of the ship under direct effect of fluid flow from operating screw propellers. Rotary spindles of wings allow elastic play not less than to ±30°, which is provided with spring (or electromagnet) device with stability moment proportional to wing deviation from neutral zero moment, or set with angle control device. Axes of spindles pass through hydrodynamic centre of lateral resistance of wings, which minimises forces on their re-laying at high ship's speeds. When wings are turned to different sides during ship's movement, inclining moments as created to compensate rolling motion. When wings are turned together for rise/sinking, there created are trimming moments to compensate pitching motion. When two inclined wings are used, they will perform simultaneous functions of steering device with fixed compensator of centrifugal roll on circulation and maintain improved conditions for safe manoeuvring when sea is very high. When horizontal wings are used together with traditional vertical ship's steering wheel, automatic steering wheel and wings control laws become independent, which allows complex solving of the task of manoeuvring and stabilisation of ship's body at high movement speeds and in stormy conditions. In case screw propellers stop, vertical liquid flows determined with vertical movements of ship's aftbody in stormy conditions begin acting on wings; at that, wing is elastically turned and creates traction force for forward movement of ship, the value of which in hydrostatic approximation is many times more than power force on the lever between spindle axis and wing surface area centre.
EFFECT: improving service performance of motion stabiliser of emergency propeller in stormy conditions.
