FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method uses a sorbent based on large-pore silica gel KSCG modified with particles of iron compounds on a nanometer scale. The iron content in this sorbent is 5-10 wt %. The proposed sorbent is significantly more effective for the removal of acid sludge formation promoters and development products of colloid-dispersed processes of the oil contamination from operational oil, than the sorbent KSKG and can be effectively used for the application in filters of continuous cleaning of oil power transformers. Saving the values of oil after cleaning on the claimed sorbent and storing oil within two years shows the possibility of using a new sorbent as a stabiliser of the original transformer oils.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of continuous cleaning of transformer oils and saving the values of the parameters of refined oils during their storage.
