FIELD: geological exploration.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geological exploration. Method for estimating the oil-saturated thickness of a full-length rock core from photos in daylight is based on the spectral analysis of digital photos of the core, stored in the RGB (red, green and blue) color format, and includes per-pixel averaging in the photo lines of RGB color parameters, construction of diagrams of the variation of the average color parameters and tables of the data of the mean values of the colors along the depth of the well, as well as making decisions on proposed formalized fuzzy criteria that use the effect of a discrepancy between the color spectrum of core photos in daylight in the oil-saturated areas, which are calculated by the following formulas: K1 – criterion characterizing the maximum range of discrepancy of all colors RGB, K1 = ∆ / ∆max where ∆ = max (R, G, B) – min (R, G, B); ∆max – maximum value of the color divergence over the entire well interval of interest; K2 – criterion characterizing the zones where the maximum color parameters are removed from each other RGB, K2 = 1 – 2 ⋅ abs (λ – 0,5), where ; , where KK – complex criterion, formed as a multiplicative conjunction of the criteria K1 and K2 in the theory of fuzzy sets.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing accuracy of the power characteristics of oil-saturated core sections, as well as in reducing the processing time of photographs in comparison with the prototype.
