FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when a layer of another metal is applied to the surface of the holes of the metal blank. Blank of cladding material is installed with a clearance in the hole of the clad blank. Said blanks are joined by hot isostatic pressing in a sealed metal container at a pressure of at least 150 MPa to form a clad layer. Clearance between the cladding and clad blanks and clearance between the clad blank and the walls of the container shall be minimal in order to ensure local plastic deformation of blanks in the contact area in the absence of their macro-deformation. Blank of cladding material can be solid or hollow. Clad blank can consist of two parts. Grooves are made on the surface of each of the parts to form a hole when the said parts are joined. In the grooves of the clad blank, a hollow blank of clad material is installed with a clearance, the wall thickness of which is equal to the thickness of the cladding layer, and the said parts of the clad blank are simultaneously joined to each other and to the cladding blank by the hot isostatic pressing method.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to clad the holes of blanks having small dimensions or a complex shape.
