FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the treatment of metals by pressure and can be used for stamping a product, in particular a car body. Transverse body partition includes an upper plate part, side flange parts and angled flange parts. Each of the side flange portions extends from the respective sides of the upper plate portion. Each of the angled flange parts extends from the respective corner portions of the upper plate portion. Angled flange part connects the side flange parts to each other. In the angled flange portion, the portion having the minimum sheet thickness value is in the central portion in the circumferential direction and the portions having the maximum sheet thickness are on both sides thereof. Ratio of the maximum value and the minimum value is in the range from 1.0 to 1.6. To manufacture the product, a punch, a die and a convex tool are used, located at a position corresponding to the angled flange portion. In this case, the angled flange portion is formed by moving a tool having a convex shape, and then forming the flange parts by bending the workpiece by relative movement of the die to the punch.

EFFECT: improves the quality of the body by preventing wrinkling in the corner flange parts.
