SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and apparatus for the manufacture of a stamped product used in automobiles, various vehicles not related to cars, household appliances, ships, architectural materials, etc. Stamped product includes an upper panel part, vertical wall parts, and edge linear portions between the vertical wall portions and the top panel portion, and include a shape-changing portion in the portion of the edge linear portions. Method of manufacturing a stamped product includes a step of preparing a metal sheet as a starting material and a step of stamping, on which the starting material is stamped by using a punch and a die cushion, which are connected to the punch. Punching stage includes the first stage of forming by means of a punch and a cushion of the entire area of the upper panel part, the entire area of each of the edge linear parts, including the shape-altering part, and the area to a given height from the border between the vertical wall part and the edge linear part of the area of each of the vertical wall parts, and the second stage of molding after the first stage by means of a punch and a matrix of the remaining areas with the source material located between the punch and the pad.
EFFECT: result is a reduction in wrinkling.
