FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: gliding parachute contains a dome, which has an elliptical shape along the leading (8) and trailing (3) edges. Ratio of the dome wing span to the middle chord is 4.33. Dome upper (1) and lower (2) shells are connected by the trailing edge (3). Air intakes (9) are formed by ribs (4, 5, 6, 7) connecting the shells between the leading (8) and trailing (3) edges. Facing the lower shell ribs sides are made slightly convex at the leading edge. Air intakes inclination angle along the leading edge center is 36°, at the extreme sections is 56°. Upper shell (1) is made of a fabric with the air permeability of 0–5 dm2/m2s, and the lower shell (2) and ribs (4, 5, 6, 7) are from a fabric with air permeability of 3–15 dm3/m2s.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increase in the gliding range and carrying capacity.
