SUBSTANCE: device comprises: a body having a proximal end, a distal end and a cavity; an opening at the distal end of the body for accommodating a drug cartridge in the cavity, wherein the drug cartridge comprises a cylindrical body having an open proximal end and a distal end configured to be releasably connected to a Luer tip, and a plunger adapted to be inserted into the proximal end of the cylindrical body; a plunger rod, adapted to move the plunger into the cylindrical body of the drug cartridge, wherein the plunger rod comprises at least one anti-rotation guide and a threaded sleeve; a threaded shaft formed such that the threaded axis is engaged by screwing in with the threaded sleeve, thereby causing linear movement of the plunger rod when the threaded axis is rotated; a pinion gear mechanically coupled to the threaded shaft; a circular scale mechanically coupled to the pinion gear; a ratchet projection configured to releasably engage the drive gear to prevent rotation of the pinion gear when the ratchet is engaged. Ratchet protrusion is configured to detachably cooperate with the medical infusion device via a remote controller, to which it is connected wirelessly.
