SUBSTANCE: invention relates to driving needle assemblies for a drug delivery system. At that, the needle driving assembly comprises: a needle driving unit having a guide surface; a needle shutter having a cam surface, wherein the needle shuttle is configured to move along the vertical axis between the first position and the second position, needle shuttle is configured to move between first and second positions by engagement between guide surface of needle drive unit and cam surface of needle shuttle; and a needle fitted in the needle shutter. At that, the needle shuttle comprises a biasing element configured to move the needle shuttle from the first position to the second position, when guide surface of needle drive unit is disengaged from cam surface of needle shuttle.

EFFECT: disclosed is a needle drive assembly for a drug delivery system.
