METHOD OF WATERMELON CULTIVATION WITH DRIP IRRIGATION UNDER ARID CONDITIONS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A01G2/00 A01G25/02

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture and land reclamation. Method includes stubble plowing, plowing with or without furrow slice turnover, harrowing, sowing according to the 2.1×1.4 m scheme in rows, layout of irrigation pipelines with drip irrigation system water outlets, vegetative irrigation with a differentiated irrigation mode, fractional application of mineral fertilizers with irrigation water and weed control in the aisles. Width of the distance between the drip irrigation pipelines lanes is 4.2 m. Differentiated irrigation mode is adapted to the needs of watermelon plants: 70-80-70% of the soils lowest moisture capacity (by irrigation norms of 21, 42, 84, 126 and 168 m³/ha) - to produce a yield of 40 t/ha of fruits and 75-85-75% HB (by irrigation norms of 42, 84, 105 and 126 m³/ha) - for a harvest of 60 t/ha. Mineral fertilizers are introduced to the planned level of watermelon fruits harvest at the levels of 40 and 60 tons/ha, in a total dose of N₉₀P₄₅ and N₁₅₀P₈₀, respectively, with a fractional introduction of nutrients with irrigation water throughout the entire growing season.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the watermelon fruits yield and nutritional qualities.
