SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Method for increasing the content of photosynthetic pigments and non-steroid phytoestrogens in oats and medicago, including presowing seed treatment of the working solution with a dispersed suspension of nanoparticles. Suspension contains nanoparticles of silicon dioxide with a lack of oxygen and an average size of 5–9 nm, at the rate of solution consumption of 1–5 ml/kg of seeds with a concentration of suspension in the working fluid from 0.01–0.1 %. Treatment is carried out 5 times, the seed material being treated by spraying with a dispersed suspension, then stirred for 3–5 minutes and allowed to dry for 6 hours at 23 ± 1 °C.

EFFECT: method provides for increasing the resistance of oats and medicago to phytopathogens.
