FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power supply for electric networks contacting with current collectors of vehicles. Electrified railways electric traction AC network contains catenary system, rails circuit and shielding wire. Shielding wire is located above the catenary system conductors on the additional bracket and is made by a specialized conductor, the optical power ground wire (OPGW). Shielding conductor is grounded to the individual earthing switches and does not have direct electrical contact with the rails and combines the functions of the shielding conductor, a fibre optic communication line and power ground wire.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is increase in the shielding conductor application effectiveness.
