FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: AC traction network of the electrified railways contains a contact network and a rail network. The rail network consists of isolated rail lines connected by throttle-transformers. The rail network also contains filtering devices whose inputs are connected to the middle points of the choke-transformers, and the outputs to individual earthing switches. Filtering devices consist of throttle-transformers, the capacitor is connected to the secondary winding.
EFFECT: reduction of losses in the traction network.
