FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling process transmitters. More particularly, the present invention relates to housings that protect electronics and sensors used in transmitters. Industrial process transmitter contains a sensor module, a housing and a clamping ring. Process sensor is installed in the sensor module. Housing contains an electronics compartment with an internal space in which the transmitter electronics is located and a sensor compartment containing an opening in which the sensor module is inserted. Clamping ring is mounted on the sensor module or housing and is configured to prevent the housing from rotating relative to the sensor module.
EFFECT: technical result is the elimination of stresses on the compartment for the module, chemical and galvanic corrosion, as well as fatigue cracks.
