MULTI-ELEMENT TRANSDUCER Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC H04R17/00

Abstract RU 2654949 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: usage: to convert electrical energy into mechanical oscillations at a frequency in the acoustic range, and also to receive such sound waves by converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. Summary of the invention is that a multi-element electro-acoustic transducer contains a bending plate; a set of piezoelectric disks, the said piezoelectric disks being disposed in the planar matrix on the said bending plate and connected thereto, while each of said piezoelectric disks and a bending plate forms a two-layered block; and a barrier layer comprising a plurality of baffles forming a plurality of apertures, wherein the said barrier layer is attached to the said bending plate; while each of the said plurality of piezoelectric disks is centred in each of the said plurality of apertures, and the said baffles form the walls of a plurality of two-layer electro-acoustic elements.

EFFECT: technical result: increase in the sensitivity over a wide band and acoustic output power, as well as provision of a low profile and low weight of the transducer.
