FIELD: laser engineering.
SUBSTANCE: laser device (1) includes first and second laser units (2, 3), emitting rays (5, 6) propagating in the first and second directions, and a polarization connection device, made in the form of polarization connection prism (8) and arranged so that the laser beams of the first and second laser units polarized in the first and second directions are added together. Polarization connection prism includes light input surface (80) for entering laser beam (5) of first laser unit (2); reflecting surface (81), on which laser beam (5) falls at an angle of total internal reflection; and reflective surface (82) for outputting laser beam (5). Laser beam (6) of second laser unit (3) is reflected from reflective surface (82), corresponding to the direction of laser beam (5) of first laser unit (2) so that resultant laser beam (9) is obtained by collinear superposition of both laser beams (5, 6).
EFFECT: technical result is the production of the resultant laser beam while maintaining its power, which essentially corresponds to the sum of the powers of the polarized laser beams of the first and second laser units.
