SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Portable injection device comprises a body, a piston rod disposed within the body, drive element and power source for driving the drive element. Drive element is permanently connected to the piston rod, with a drive element that is movable axially between a dose setting position in which the drive element is rotatable together with the body, and a dose delivery position in which the drive element is rotationally disengaged from the body.
EFFECT: power source comprises a back-wound coiled flat spiral spring having the first end attached to the first coil, and the second end attached to the second coil, whose movement along the axis and during rotation is limited by the drive element.
