SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cartridge for an aerosol delivery system and to a device configured to house a cartridge. Cartridge comprises a first compartment comprising a source of a volatile compound that accelerates delivery; a second compartment comprising a medicament source; a vaporiser for heating the medicament, the vaporiser comprising an electrically controlled heater, wherein said heater is configured to be connected to an electrical power source; and a transfer element for conveying the medicament from the second compartment to the vaporiser.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the provision of an aerosol delivery system operating with reduced power consumption compared to electronic cigarettes available on the market and allowing more uniform delivery of nicotine or another drug in one puff as compared to existing devices for delivering nicotine salt particles in the form of an aerosol.
