SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is a method for evaluating the effectiveness of anticoagulant therapy in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) who have suffered a stroke, characterized in that before the appointment of anticoagulant therapy with new oral anticoagulants (NOAC) the patient is taking blood from the peripheral vein, 10 mcl of which is placed in Goryaev chamber with a mirror coating and analyzed by a laser phase-interference microscope, measuring the phase altitude of 40–50 erythrocytes in the sample; determine the average maximum dY1 and the average minimum dY2 red blood cell phase altitude, calculate the erythrocyte oxygenation coefficient dY2/dY1; the values of dY2/dY1 of 0.085 to 0.2 are considered normal; the values of dY2/dY1 < 0.085 and the values of dY2/dY1 > 0.2 indicate an abnormality of blood rheology; 17 weeks after initiation of therapy, the NOAC study is repeated; achieve or store the values dY2/dY1 of 0.085 to 0.2 are considered a sign of the effectiveness of therapy, and the values of dY2/dY1 < 0.085 and the values of dY2/dY1 > 0.2 indicate its inefficiency.

EFFECT: possibility to evaluate the effectiveness of anticoagulant therapy of NOAC in patients with AF who have suffered a stroke.
