FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology and can be used for prediction of left atrial thrombosis prior to catheter ablation or cardioversion. Gender, age, chronic heart failure, arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, history of stroke, vascular disease, persistent or long-term persistent forms of AFib/AFlu are detected. Calculated glomerular filtration rate (cGFR) is determined by formula CKD-EPI and LV EF. EHRA is used to assess severity of symptoms associated with AFib/AFlu. Each indicator is evaluated in points. If the total score is 8 and less, a low expected rate of thrombosis in the left atrium is predicted. If the total score is more than 8, a high expected rate of thrombosis in the left atrium is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides higher odds ratio of detecting left atrial thrombosis, higher sensitivity, specificity and predictive value of positive and negative results by assessing the complex of the most significant parameters.
