FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and can be used in preparation and mining of shallow coal seams. Method of preparing coal seam to work out includes preparation of excavation poles along formation strike by carrying out and fixing flank workings, conveyor and ventilation drifts with twin faces with abandonment of coal pillar between conveyor drift of column to be straightened and ventilation drift of column to be worked next, carrying out with required step ventilation slots in coal pillar between these drifts, and further – extraction of coal in poles with long cleaning faces. Conveyor and ventilation drifts are carried out by combines with different capacities and maneuverability. Initially, combine passes with lower productivity and greater maneuverability of conveyor drift section to length sufficient to mount combine in it with greater productivity and less maneuverability. Additional breakdown is formed in front of alleged dismantling chamber of treatment complex, taking into account required dimensions of remaining security lint, and in opposite direction mating section of ventilating tunnel of double face. Further, conveyor drift is passed with combine with greater productivity and less maneuverability, and ventilation drift and jibs – with combine with lower productivity and greater maneuverability, which, during last failure, forms installation chamber of treatment complex, taking into account required dimensions of remaining security lid.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce labor intensity of mining operations and increase their efficiency.
