FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machining of materials by cutting and can be used to machine holes with longitudinal internal grooves on a VFD milling machine having a cross-sectional contour formed by broken lines. Method includes pre-machining of the hole within its contour by drilling, reaming and subsequent milling, and finishing of the hole by planing. Planing is carried out with a planing cutter fixed in the spindle of the VFD milling machine. After the planer cutter is installed into the spindle of the milling machine, the program orientation is carried out along the C coordinate with the subsequent fixation of the cutter. Planing is carried out by moving along the Z coordinate. Positioning of the planer cutter is performed by moving it along the X and Y coordinates.
EFFECT: increases the flexibility and efficiency of machining holes with longitudinal internal grooves due to the use of universal equipment and equipment.
