FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to static converters of input alternating voltage to output alternating voltage for changing the frequency without an intermediate conversion. Single-phase static frequency converter with direct coupling includes four semiconductor switches, two of which are connected to one pole of the voltage source, and two others – to the other pole of the voltage source, control unit, voltage transformer containing the primary winding and the secondary winding. Primary winding of the transformer is made with three terminals dividing it into four sections with the same number of turns, the beginning of the primary winding is connected to the end of the primary winding, two keys from one pole of the voltage source are connected to the first and third terminals of the primary winding, and two other keys from the other pole of the voltage source are connected to the beginning and second terminal of the primary winding. Switching frequency of the keys connected to one pole of the voltage source is twice the switching frequency of the keys connected to the other voltage source.
EFFECT: possibility of converting an alternating low-frequency voltage into an alternating high-frequency voltage without intermediate conversion is provided.
