FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to three-phase static converters of alternating voltage at the input to alternating voltage at the output for changing the frequency without intermediate conversion. A three-phase static frequency converter with direct coupling includes a control unit, a three-phase transformer, with the primary winding of each phase made with three additional terminals dividing it into four sections with the same number of turns, the beginning of the primary winding is connected to the end of the primary winding of the same phase, and four semiconductor switches in each phase. The first and third terminals of the primary winding of each phase of the transformer are connected to the same phase of the power source through the corresponding semiconductor switches. The second and fourth terminals of the primary windings of the transformer phases are connected to the first terminals of the corresponding semiconductor switches, the second terminals of which are connected to each other.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the voltage on the switches.
